Lullwater Estate – Emory University
Built in 1925 for Walter Candler, this Tudor style mansion with Italianate detailing now serves as the home to Emory University’s President. Featured in this remarkable addition/renovation is the addition of a Great Room and Catering Kitchen, as well as a complete renovation of the original kitchen and a major overhaul of the mechanical systems. The exterior granite façade was accomplished by using rock being blasted nearby. This allowed for a near seamless match to the granite used on the original building. The Great Room boasts mahogany inlaid floors and a beautifully trimmed ceiling pattern. The Catering Kitchen and President’s Kitchen have been updated with custom cabinetry, professional grade appliances, granite countertops, tiled floors, walls and backsplashes.
